BIOGRAPHY

Full name:  Ho Huu Thu

Born in 1942, Nghe An Province, Vietnam

1964: Graduated from the National Fine Art College of Saigon

Former Professor of the National Fine Art College of Saigon before 1975.

Ho Huu Thu's paintings have been selected for display in Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts, HCMC Museum of Fine Arts and overseas museums. His artworks were sold well at Christies and Sotheby's auctions.

EXHIBITIONS:

1963 - 1974:  Annually participated in the Young Artists Association's exhibition.

1972:  First personal exhibition at Alliance Francaise Saigon

1992:  Asian Master Gallery BHD Gallery

            "Art & Materials' 92" at the Singapore's National Museum Art Gallery.

1993:  "New Space" by Vietnamese and Singaporean artists.

1994:  Le Space Jacques Prevert, Dunkerque City's Hall, Gallery Bellin, France.

            "Asian - Vietnam International Modern Art", Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

1996:  Fujita Vente Art Museum, Japan.

             2nd Asian - Vietnam International Modern Art, HCMC.

2000:  Vietnam Museum of Fine Art

             Golden Colorado, Oakland Asian Cutural Center, California, USA.

2001:  "Vietnam - Japan Art" at the Fine Art Museum of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

2002:  "EPIC" exhibition at Gajah Gallery, Singapore.

2005:  Group exhibition with Vanessa Art Link, Jakarta, Indonesia.

2006:  Group exhibition with Brigitte Art Gallery in USA.

2007:  Group exhibition "The Touch of Vietnam", Singapore.

2007-2009:  Annually participated in "Recent Works" exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City.

AWARDS:

1960:  Silver Medal Award at Fine Arts Competition organized by ESSO.

1990:  National Fine Arts Competition Prize
